Location & Parking
The Sausalito Public Library is located on the main floor of Sausalito City Hall, 420 Litho St., Sausalito. The City Hall parking lot is available to visitors during all open Library hours, with 2-hour parking between 8am and 5pm, M-F. The lot houses 3 EV charging stations.
Accessibility
The Library may be accessed via two wheelchair-accessible entrances: the elevator corridor at the ground level of City Hall approached from the Sweeny Park patio, and the ramp from the South end of the City Hall Parking Lot at the entrance to the 2nd Floor.
Returns
Library materials may be returned during off-hours to the Book Drop located at the South end of the City Hall Parking Lot at the entrance to the 2nd Floor. Please leave donations to the Friends Bookstore at the donation box outside the store on the 2nd floor, not in the Book Drop.
Library Beyond Walls Home Delivery
The Library Beyond Walls program provides mail delivery and return of library materials to Marin County residents unable to visit the library due to temporary or long-term illness, limited mobility, or other qualifying circumstances. Fill out the application form to get started.

The library is closed on the following dates in 2026 in keeping with City of Sausalito holiday closures.
January 1 - New Year's Day
January 19 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
February 16 - Presidents' Day
May 25 - Memorial Day
June 19 - Juneteenth
July 4 - Independence Day
September 7 - Labor Day
November 26-27 - Thanksgiving Day and Day After Thanksgiving
December 24-25 - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
