More E-Books & E-Audiobooks for Kids

Hoopla Digital is a digital collection that includes thousands of popular e-books, e-audiobooks, and comic books -- and no wait lists! For Sausalito residents only. Hoopla is made possible through a grant from the Friends of the Sausalito Library.

TeachingBooks provides instructional resources to support children's books. Check out Teaching Books for digital "meet the author" events, complete book readings, read-along audiobooks, multimedia content, support assignments, and more. 

Junior Library Guild is currently providing free access to their digital library. This resource offers e-books for elementary, middle, and high school students. No login is required if accessing the collection through a desktop browser. A username and password is needed for mobile access and the log-in information is available on Junior Library Guild's website.

Audible Stories is providing free access to many e-audiobooks for children and teens. No need to download the app or create an account. 

Storyline Online offers free video read alouds of books and accompanying activities and lesson plans for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

TumbleBooks is an online collection of animated, talking picture books which teach children the joy of reading in a format they'll love. They are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sounds, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book (and some classics) which you can read, or have read to you. Great for grades K-6.

AudioBookCloud is a growing collection that features over 1,200 titles, including dozens of genres and interest levels. The collection includes popular literature, classics, children’s and teen books, mystery, sci-fi, history, biography, and more! There are no special programs to install, or files to download. The site is mobile compatible, and the audio books can be streamed directly to whichever device you wish to use.

TumbleMath is an online collection of math stories which combines animation, narration, and sound to create compelling and enticing story books for students of all ages. The books are all accompanied by supplementary materials such as lesson plans, educational games, plus quizzes in order to test and track progress.

TumbleBooks, AudioBookCloud, and TumbleMath offer content available instantly, with no wait lists. Users do not need to authenticate through self-registration or with their library card to access the content.
