Join us for outdoor storytime in the Sweeny Park playground! We'll share songs, action rhymes, finger plays, scarf time, bubbles, and stories, just right for caregivers with lap-sitting babies or more independent toddlers and preschoolers. Carpet squares are available, or bring your own blanket. 

Thursdays          11am - 11:30am

Every Thursday babies, children, and caregivers are invited to join native Spanish-speaker and seasoned performer Ingrid Pelligrini in the Sweeny Park playground for 30 minutes of Spanish Storytime, complete with stories, songs, rhymes, puppets, and guitar accompaniment! This is an excellent opportunity for families to introduce or broaden Spanish comprehension and supplement language skills in the context of song and story. Carpet squares are available, or bring your own blanket.

2nd Saturdays  2:30pm stories / craft all day

Come inside the library every 2nd Saturday of the month for an afternoon of art and story in the Children's Room! Each month we'll have a themed Storytime at 2:30pm, with related craft available all day.  

3rd Fridays    11:30am - 12pm

Every 3rd Friday of the month In Harmony Music brings free Family Classes to Sweeny Park. The emphasis is on fun! Grow a strong bond through singing, dancing, clapping, bouncing, and other activities. that foster developmental benefits that will support all areas of learning. So come sing, wiggle and jam with your little ones! Great for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
