New! Wonderbooks: Print Books with Audio Narration

Thanks to a generous grant from the Friends of the Library, we have added 56 titles to the Children's collection that have a built-in audio player with full narration or sing-a-long!

These titles include Picture Books, Non-fiction, Spanish Picture Books, Easy Readers, Chapter Books, and J Fiction titles, and require nothing more than your own set of headphones to use (or you can just listen with the build-in speaker!). These are a great resource for emergent readers, those practicing decoding, and older readers with language-based learning differences for whom read-along narration is helpful! The audio is the same as that found in audiobook versions, with the added benefit of seeing the text and illustrations of the physical book as you listen.

While you will find Wonderbooks and Vox (another brand, same idea!) books at other Marin libraries, ours have special loan rules right now: 2 week checkout, 4 item limit, and no holds or renewals. We hope you love them!
