Extreme Act of Kindness Award Presented to Lt. Stacie Gregory

Post Date:01/10/2020 3:40 PM

At the City of Sausalito holiday party on December 13, Police Lieutenant Stacie Gregory was presented with the City's Extreme Act of Kindness Award for her efforts to help a disabled senior citizen living in Sausalito.

Lieutenant Gregory is the fourth recipient of the annual award, which was created in 2016 to recognize a City employee for going far beyond her or his day-to-day responsibilities to help a Sausalito resident, coworker, or visitor to Sausalito. Nominations are made by City employees, who are invited to submit the names and accomplishments of deserving coworkers. The finalists and the winner of the award are selected by City Manager Adam Politzer.

In addition to Lieutenant Gregory, two other finalists were recognized at the City holiday party. Maria Hernandez was nominated for daily acts of kindness as an Administrative Aide in the Parks and Recreation Department. Library Assistant II Tula Biederman was nominated for her work as a shop steward with Service Employees' International Union (SEIU) Local 1021.
