DESCRIPTION:Join us at 6:00 p.m. in the library for an evening of readings from the Sausalito Historical Society's “Authors” exhibit celebrating the town’s literary legacy. The exhibit itself is a curated tribute to the prolific and diverse literary figures who once called this waterfront community home. Now open to the public, the exhibit honors 40 late Sausalito writers whose works contributed to Sausalito’s cultural history.<br><br>For decades, Sausalito’s unique landscape and bohemian spirit served as a sanctuary for storytellers, historians, and social critics. The “Authors” exhibit brings these voices back to life through a display of author biographies, quintessential quotes that capture the essence of their prose, and physical copies of their original publications.<br><br>Featured writers include iconic local voices such as Jack Russell Wagner, William Bronson, Sterling Hayden, and Cyra McFadden, among many others who documented the evolution of Northern California through both fiction and non-fiction.<br><br>“Sausalito has always been more than just a place to live; it has been a place to think and to write,” says Jim&nbsp;Scriba&nbsp;of the Sausalito Historical Society. “This exhibit allows residents and visitors to learn about some past authors who lived and wrote in Sausalito.”
