The Sausalito Public Library will host a free community talk at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9 featuring Nicole Straight, creator of
The Sausalito Project, an oral-history video series that documents the memories of Sausalito’s longtime residents. The event will include behind-the-scenes stories, interview clips, and reflections from more than 100 filmed conversations with seniors, artists, houseboat residents, shop owners, and other locals who help define Sausalito’s character. Join us for this special evening of memories, history and nostalgia.
About The Sausalito Project: Launched by Straight in 2023, The Sausalito Project has become an ongoing living archive of the town’s people and history. Each short video interview is filmed in locations meaningful to the storyteller, creating a warm portrait of both the resident and the community.
